Deputies Search for Encinitas Liquor Store Burglars

Sheriff's deputies are asking for help to find two men wanted in connection with the burglary an Encinitas liquor store.

ENCINITAS, CA - North Coastal Sheriff's deputies are asking for help to find two men wanted in connection with the burglary of Village Spirit Shop in Encinitas.

The burglary in the early morning hours of Sept. 13.

The two suspects gained entry into the liquor store located at 1552 Encinitas Boulevard by throwing a rock through the front window, according to deputies.

The men took cigarettes, money and broke numerous liquor bottles. The total estimated loss was $15,000.

Deputies describe suspect #1 as a 25-year-old Hispanic man standing 5’9” tall and weighing approximately 240 pounds. He had a goatee and was last seen in surveillance video wearing a gray beanie, gray long sleeve sweatshirt, black pants and black tennis shoes.

Suspect #2 is described as a 25-year-old African American or Hispanic man, standing 6’ tall and weighing about 180 pounds. He was last seen in surveillance video wearing a baseball cap with a white bill, a blue hoodie and black tennis shoes.
