Winners of the 4th annual WaterClips Student Video Contest were announced on May 17 by the Alameda County Water District. The awards, presented during a Board Meeting, recognized students from Fremont, Newark and Union City whose 30-second videos highlight essential water topics. Over 100 video entries were submitted for this year's contest calling on students to focus on the benefits of a water-efficient garden.

The contest also awarded two teachers who sponsored winning student videos.

A panel of local judges representing government and television industries and environmental and landscape experts, selected winning video entries from students in grades 6-12 representing Middle and High School categories.
