Fremont To Host Free Horror Movie Showing Friday At Central Park

Kick off the spooky season with a showing of Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice under the stars.

FREMONT, CA — Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice will be showing at Central Park in Fremont for the city's "Movie Under the Stars" series, according to city officials.

Movie Under the Stars is a free event where community members are invited to watch select films outdoors after sunset. This year's schedule included Moana 2 in August and Mufasa last month.

Now, he who shall not be named three times will be taking over Central Park just in time for this year's spooky season.

The horror-comedy is a sequel to the 1988 original Beetlejuice. The 2024 sequel follows a family that, after several years, is still haunted by a mischievous demon, who appears when someone says its name three times.

The PG-13 movie features multiple A-list actors, including Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, and Jenna Ortega.

People attending the event should bring some blankets and low beach chairs, city officials said.
