Grass Fire Burns In Vargas Plateau Regional Park
The fire was reported at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday.

FREMONT, CA — A grass fire burned three acres at Vargas Plateau Regional Park in Fremont Tuesday night. Firefighters from multiple agencies battled the flames. No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at 7:47 p.m. No evacuation orders or warnings were issued, although drivers were asked to avoid Canyon Heights Drive and Morrison Canyon for a time to allow free access for firefighters and their equipment. Forward progress was stopped in about 45 minutes.
Crews from East Bay Regional Park District Fire Department, Fremont Fire Department, Cal Fire and Alameda County Fire Department all responded to the blaze.
The cause of the fire is not immediately available.
