FREMONT, CA -- A Fremont woman who went missing Saturday afternoon was found the next morning, police said. Ming Liu, 72, was found about five miles away from home around 10 a.m. Sunday.
Police said she was cold but otherwise in good health. Liu left her home on Sterne Place between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, according to police, and has not been seen since.
Liu's departure prompted an extensive search in the Bay Area with officers concerned because of the low temperatures.
