Several Suspects Arrested After Late Night Fremont Burglaries
Police said the midnight shift proved to be a busy one last week as officers responded to multiple burglary calls across the city.
FREMONT, CA — Officers working the midnight shift had a busy workday in Fremont last week, responding to a series of unrelated burglaries, according to police.
Investigators said the first incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday when an officer checking on a local business noticed a suspicious man nearby. The officer noted the man's clothes seemed to match the description of a suspect from an earlier burglary. Police allege the man confessed after he was detained and was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Around the same time, a 911 caller called to report a person inside a business that was not supposed to be there. Police said the responding officers found a woman inside the building who allegedly admitted to breaking in with the intent to steal items.

An hour later, a 911 caller reported two people jumping over a fence on the property of a local nonprofit organization. Police said the pair sorted through items and placed some into a bag before throwing it back over the fence. Officers learned one suspect left the area and caught the second climbing over the fence, police said.
The next hour, officers fielded a third commercial burglary call at a local restaurant. Police allege three suspects broke in and were stealing wire. Two of the suspects were detained on suspicion of burglary, and police allege they were still carrying some of the wire.
