Convicted Sex Offender Arrested In Bay Area

His past convictions include assaulting a drugged victim.

FREMONT, CA — A registered sex offender was arrested in Fremont on multiple outstanding warrants, according to the Fremont Police Deptment, which credited the arrest to "the community for their assistance in reporting criminal activity."

Brandon Jacques, 41, who also goes by the alias of Brandon Cramer, was investigated on May 12 for trespassing on the train tracks in the area of Sullivan Underpass and Mission Boulevard, police reported on Friday.

Fremont Police Dispatch advised officers at the scene that Jacques was a registered sex offender with four outstanding felony warrants. Three were for failure to register as a sex offender and one was for a parole violation.

Jacques was arrested and booked into Santa Rita Jail.

Police say that his prior felony convictions include sodomy of a drugged victim, failure to register as a sex offender, and parole violation. He also has misdemeanor convictions for assault with a deadly weapon, battery on a peace officer/firefighter/emergency medical technician, exhibiting a deadly weapon, battery, and resisting/delaying a peace officer.
