Bay Area Store Security Guard Gunned Down In Confrontation
The shooting happened at a chain drug store. A second person is hospitalized with stab wounds.
FREMONT, CA — A store security guard was shot to death at a CVS Pharmacy in Fremont Thursday night, Fremont Police said Friday afternoon.
A second person is hospitalized with stab wounds.
Police received multiple calls at 11 p.m. Thursday reporting the shooting. Officers arrived quickly and started life-saving efforts, but the security guard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators report that witnesses said a security guard and the other person were involved in a verbal altercation, which turned violent.
