Where To See Santa In Fremont This Christmas Season
You better not cry, you better not pout — Santa Claus is coming to town!
FREMONT — Visits and pictures with Santa are treasured traditions for many Fremont families. For them, there’s nothing quite like seeing jolly old St. Nick live and in person.
In Fremont, kids have several chances:
- Nov. 30 — Pacific Commons Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy a traditional tree-lighting ceremony followed by an opportunity to meet and take photos with Santa Claus, The Grinch, and several of Santa’s festive elves. There will also be face painting, balloon twisting and train rides for children. This event is free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required.
- Dec. 1 — Fremont Hub Holiday Light Up the Night. Selfies with Santa, 6-8 p.m. Enjoy a Holiday Laser Light Shows at 6:30 and 7:15 p.m. plus festive holiday music and strolling holiday characters. This event is free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required.
- Dec. 2 — Mission San Jose Christmas Tree Lighting, 5 to 8 p.m., 43571 Mission Blvd. Enjoy live music, Christmas Carols, refreshments including hot chocolate, coffee, and Christmas Cookies, and don's miss Santa Claus — he will arrive by the Fremont Station Four Fire Truck!

Santa arrived Nov. 5 at Bass Pro Shop Santa’s Wonderland and will hold court through Christmas Eve. Get a free 4x6 photo with Santa. Reservations are encouraged.
Santa will also be at the sixth floor of Macy's Union Square in San Francisco through Dec. 24 from 10-1 p.m. at 2-7 p.m. on most days. Reservations are required. See here to make a reservation and for more information. Don't miss their cherished window displays!
