Who Makes The Best Chili In Fremont? Find Out During This Oktoberfest Celebration
The will event takes place at the Glenmoor Gardens on Oct. 18.
FREMONT, CA — Find out who makes the best chili in Fremont later this month during the annual Glenmoor Gardens Oktoberfest.
The free Oktoberfest celebration will take place at Meyer Park on Oct. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Aside from the chili cook-off, there will be a pumpkin patch, beer games, music, and an arts and crafts fair, according to the Glenmoor Gardens Homeowners Association.

The homeowner's association is still looking for competitors to "bring the heat" to the chili cook-off. Anyone interested in participating will need to prepare four to five gallons of chili for the event.
"We know the chili tasting is one of the most popular parts of Oktoberfest," the association said in a statement on social media Thursday. "We’re doing everything we can to keep this tradition alive."

Participants will also receive a $75 gift card to help fund their chili recipes, according to the homeowner association.
The winner of the competition will be announced around 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
