Accused Morgan Hill Child Molester Turns Himself In

Morgan Hill police waged an all-out search to find the man it received allegations in November of sexually assaulting a child under age 14.

MORGAN HILL, CA -- A man accused of sexually assaulting a minor under age 14 turned himself in to the authorities Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Morgan Hill police had waged a widespread search from his hometown to San Jose and Fremont for Arturo Rosa Padilla, 57, upon receiving a report in November that he had been abusing the child. A felony warrant was issued.

Padilla was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on six counts of charges relating to child molestation by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office.
