Bankruptcy Fraud Conviction For R.E. Broker

SAN JOSE, CA -- The U.S. District Court convicted real estate broker Goyko Gustav Kuburovich, 58 -- formerly of Morgan Hill, and his daughter, Kristel Kuburovich, 29, of bankruptcy fraud in a scheme to defraud the court during its proceedings, the court announced Thursday.

With Judge Edward J. Davila presiding, the trial showed evidence in which Kuburovich allegedly attempted to conceal assets amounting to $870,000 with the assistance of his daughter in the scheme involving bankruptcy court.

The defendants were released from custody on separate bonds. The next court appearance is set for Oct. 9 on a judgement of acquittal. No sentencing hearing has been scheduled yet.
