Closing in the memory of the city’s first police chief, , the Gilroy City Council spent its Monday meeting considering several items related to development. The majority of the meeting was devoted to public comment and council discussion
Here are some highlights:
- Three city-owned buildings in the Downtown Historic District, at 7347, 7353 and 7355 Monterey St., will be demolished within the next few months to make room for a future cultural and arts center.
- A modified alarm ordinance will penalize property owners who have two false alarm incidents within one year, along with other changes.
- Approval of the final map of the Rancho Hills development project is postponed until Aug. 1.
