GILROY, CA — Gilroy Councilmember Fred Tovar will host his third annual Santa Meet and Greet on Thursday.
The event will include a holiday giveaway and opportunities to donate to the Adopt-A-Family program, which pairs families with volunteers who are willing to provide support.
Tovar said he partners with local businesses and community members each year to meet the needs of over 100 preschool families struggling to make ends meet.

The children in the program are up to 5 years old, and most are enrolled in daycare at Head Start Preschools in Gilroy, according to Tovar.
Tovar is also seeking volunteers for the event.
