Gilroy Dog Rescue Organization To Host Fifth Annual 5K Wagathon

All proceeds will go towards the South County Tail Waggers' mission of saving lives of high-risk dogs facing euthanasia.

GILROY, CA — South County Tail Waggers is hosting its fifth annual 5K Wagathon beginning Saturday, and it will be a virtual event.

All proceeds will go towards the Gilroy organization’s mission of saving lives of high-risk dogs facing euthanasia, as well as spay and neuter coverage for South County residents.

The deadline to receive a custom t-shirt after registration is Friday.

Participants are asked to complete the 5K run between Oct. 9 and Nov. 13.

“You can walk, jog, run, or move anyway you can,” the event page read. “You can go outside for fresh air or just walk on a treadmill. You can do the 5K in one day or several, just track your distance and show your support.”
