Gilroy is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that Gilroy has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.

  • The Gilroy Garlic USA RV Park is a unique camping experience in the “Garlic Capital of the World.” The park is located just a few miles from the Garlic Festival grounds.
  • The city has a vibrant Historic Downtown District with a variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment options. Visitors can stroll through the connected pathway of Gilroy Historic Paseo, featuring historic murals and interpretive panels about the city’s history.
  • The Gilroy Welcome Center is a great resource for visitors to the city, offering information on local attractions, events and lodging options. The center also provides maps and brochures for self-guided tours and is a great place to get unique Gilroy gifts.
  • Gilroy’s rich agricultural past didn’t always focus on garlic. Dating back as far as 1850, the city has been known for its hay and grain, tobacco, fruits and nuts, dairy and prunes.
