Gilroy Historical Society Seeks Architectural Nominations
In a city full of beautiful buildings, make the case for why your favorite home or office deserves the 2022 Architectural Award.
GILROY, CA — The Gilroy Historical Society is seeking nominations for the 2022 Architectural Awards. If you feel that your historic home or building deserves recognition for outstanding character, aesthetics, or renovations, email gilroy.museum@cityofgilroy.org with your name, address, and a brief description of why you feel your home deserves an award.
The Historical Society will nominate awards in the following categories:
- Historic Design: For new buildings downtown that complement original historic buildings or enhance the Downtown Historic Area.
- Historic Commercial Building: For buildings at least 50 years old in the downtown Historic District or on an historic site.
- Historic House: For exteriors of homes at least 50 years old.
- Certificate of Commendation: For residential, commercial or other, for new construction, renovation, restoration, painting, landscaping, or anything else.
Nominations are due March 31.
