Gilroy Police Seeks Help To Catch Suspect In Car Break-ins

GILROY, CA -- Getting your car broken into is a pain.

There's the trauma of knowing an unknown person had access to material in your mobile inner sanctum.

Then, there's having to deal with your insurance carrier, which, in fact, could amount to two coverages -- home, if items are stolen; auto, if your car is damaged.

Also, getting your car fixed if a window is broken requires time out of working or anything else.

So with all that, the Gilroy Police Department would like your help putting an end to recent auto break-ins downtown -- some in the light of day.

Surveillance camera footage caught this suspect speeding away on a bicycle. It's also posted on the department's Facebook page.
