Gilroy Shoplifters Grab Jeans, Flee on Bicycles

Police have identified a male suspect as Gilroy resident Oscar Castanon. His female companion took jeans from Tommy Hilfiger, and they fled.

GILROY - Investigators are seeking two people who allegedly shoplifted several items of clothing from a Gilroy outlet store earlier this month, police said Monday.

On Feb. 5 at around 3 p.m., the female suspect walked into the Tommy Hilfiger outlet store at 8300 Arroyo Circle, according to police. The suspect took several pairs of jeans before fleeing.

She was accompanied by a man who has been identified as Gilroy resident Oscar Castanon, 37, police said. Both Castanon and the female suspect fled the store on bicycles, heading toward Leavesley Road.

Police have released two images from surveillance video of the female suspect.
