Gilroy Thieves Grab Beer, Smash Clerk's Cell Phone

Surveillance images of the pair who robbed a 7-Eleven store on 10th Street are released. Police hope you recognize these suspected robbers.

GILROY - Police are seeking two suspects who allegedly robbed a 7-Eleven store in Gilroy early Saturday morning and broke the store employee’s cellphone to prevent him from calling police.

At about 2 a.m., the male suspects entered the convenience store, located at 162 W. 10th St., according to police.

The suspects then took beer and threatened to hit the clerk before breaking the phone. Police have released surveillance images of the pair.
