Gilroy's Gavilan College's Nursing Program Named Best In CA

GILROY, CA — Gilroy’s Gavilan College was named the top licensed vocational nursing program in California by PracticalNursing.org in its 2021 rankings.

The ranking assessed 122 programs across the state based on how well they support students toward licensure and beyond.

Gavilan College, a community college in Gilroy that also has locations in Hollister and Morgan Hill, uses both traditional and emerging learning practices in its licensed vocational nursing program curriculum, according to the rankings.

The college was one of four in the state to have its program receive a perfect score. The other three were Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, the Annenberg School of Nursing in Receda and College of the Redwoods in Eureka.
