Injured Passenger After Vehicle Hits Tree, Overturns, Ignites
Motorists may want to avoid the section of Highway 101 south of Leavesley Road and Gilroy proper as a smoking vehicle is blocking lanes.
GILROY, CA -- A vehicle hit a tree and overturned on U.S. Highway 101, injuring a passenger in the crash, the California Highway Patrol reported at 10:02 a.m.
The right shoulder is blocked on the southbound side of the major highway between Gilroy and Leavesley Road.
Smoke is billowing out of the vehicle, CHP added.
