Man Chases Son with Saw, Threatens Murder
Sergio Salazar Valdez was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon late Sunday night.

Gilroy police responded to a domestic dispute Sunday on the 200 block of Severance Street and arrested Sergio Salazar Valdez, who had pushed his wife down stairs and chased his stepson with a saw threatening to kill him.
Around 11:30 p.m., Valdez's wife was in a bedroom with their son. Valdez entered the room and the wife refused to let him lie down. According to Sgt. Pedro Espinoza, Valdez became angry, and his 21-year-old stepson came into the room to intervene.
Valdez, 44, then chased the stepson out of the house with a saw and threatened to kill him if he returned, Espinoza said. He then locked the door, and pushed his wife down three stairs, and she was not injured.
