SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A man was shot in the chest near an elementary school in Morgan Hill this afternoon and there are three suspects in custody, according to police. The shooting was reported in the vicinity of Calle Mazatan and East Main Avenue at 12:13 p.m. Tuesday. The campus of El Toro Elementary School, listed at 455 E. Main Ave., is nearby. Police said it looks like the victim will survive. Three men wanted in connection with the shooting were taken into custody on southbound U.S. Highway 101, and investigators believe the shooting was not a random act.
