Mattress Recycling Event Comes To Gilroy This Weekend: Details
Anyone who has old mattresses to get rid of can bring up to four mattresses to recycle.

GILROY, CA — The city of Gilroy is hosting a mattress and box spring recycling event on Saturday.
Anyone who has old mattresses to get rid of can bring up to four mattresses, box springs or futons for recycling free of charge to Gilroy City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event, hosted by the Mattress Recycling Council, will not ask for proof of residency. A crew will also be on-site to assist.

The Mattress Recycling Council is a nonprofit formed by the mattress industry to operate recycling programs in states that have passed mattress recycling laws.
People should not bring other bulky items to the event that aren’t mattresses. For those items, residents are advised to contact the San Martin Transfer Station at 1040But 70 Llagas Avenue in San Martin.
