• Silver Alert issued for missing woman in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties (ksbw.com) — An 82-year-old woman from Gilroy, Karin Godfrey, is the subject of a Silver Alert issued on behalf of Gilroy police and covering multiple Bay Area counties. She was last seen Friday evening on 4th Street in San Jose, driving a brown 2003 Buick LeSabre with California plates 5GIN928. Residents are urged to call 911 immediately if they spot her or the vehicle.
   

• Despite turnover, Baler wrestling optimistic as season gets underway (benitolink.com) — Hollister High’s wrestling teams are gearing up for the 2025-26 season, with several key tournaments scheduled in nearby Gilroy, including the Mid Cals for both girls and boys in late January. Coaches and athletes describe big goals for CCS and state competition as the girls’ roster hits a record size. Local fans can plan ahead to catch regional matchups just up the road.
