South Bay Woman Who Crashed Caltrans Truck On Hwy 101 Identified
A 56-year-old Morgan Hill woman who died when she crashed a Caltrans truck into the center divide on northbound U.S. Hwy 101 has been ID'd.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- A 56-year-old Morgan Hill woman who died when she crashed a Caltrans truck into the center divide on northbound U.S. Highway 101 in East San Jose on Friday morning has been identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office as Patricia Shields.
The crash was reported at 8:11 a.m. April 28 just north of the East Capitol Expressway off-ramp, California Highway Patrol officers said.
According to the CHP, Shields had a medical emergency before crashing the white Ford pickup into the center divide. She was the only person in the truck.

Caltrans officials did not immediately return a request for comment on the crash.
