The woman who had been driving the Toyota Camry that Caloca Lara crashed into got out of her car and walked to the east edge of Santa Teresa Boulevard, where police found her.
The Toyota driver was taken to a trauma center with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. Her car was found in the road with extensive front-end damage.
According to police, the Chrysler had been seen speeding north on Santa Teresa before Caloca Lara lost control, drifted sideways into oncoming traffic and hit the Toyota.
