Gilroy Roads Reopen After Car Hits Power Pole
Crews worked to fix a power pole weakened by a car crashing into it Tuesday morning, thus closing W. 10th and Eigleberry streets.
GILROY, CA -- A vehicle struck a power pole at the corner of West Tenth and Eigleberry streets, causing the pole to become unstable, the Gilroy Police Department reported Tuesday at about 10 a.m.
For public safety reasons, both directions of West Tenth St between Monterey and Church streets were closed, along with Eigleberry St between Tenth and Ninth streets. The roads have since reopened.
Pacific Gas & Electric crews stabilized the pole.
