Wanted Gilroy Man Arrested In San Bruno: Police

Police and San Bruno and South San Francisco helped catch a man wanted for several offenses in Gilroy.

GILROY, CA — A man wanted in Gilroy on suspicion of robbery, domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon was caught in San Bruno last week with help from a police K9 and an automated license plate reader, according to police.

The San Bruno Police Department said a plate reader flagged a vehicle linked to the 33-year-old Gilroy man shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday. An officer and his K9 Niko found the vehicle in nearby South San Francisco and worked with officers there to detain the man without incident.

According to police, officers found two handguns and a short barrel shotgun after the arrest. The man was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
