What Businesses, Events Would You Like to See in Downtown Gilroy?

If you could have a say in the vision of Downtown Gilroy, what changes would you make? What businesses would you like to see? What events would you attend?

Those are the questions the Gilroy Downtown Business Association is asking. 

The association recently launched a friendly competition called "Shark Tank Gilroy." The hope is that entrepreneurs will share their Downtown Gilroy business ideas; the winner could earn a $50,000 grant to bring their idea to life. 

Among the association's new goals for Downtown Gilroy are to increase business and retail occupancy, host new events and to beautify the streets. 

Downtown Gilroy is home to a kids shop, quilt shop and jewelry store, but not many restaurants, according to the association's website. What type of retailers and businesses would you like to see open in Downtown Gilroy? A cafe? A bookstore? Tell us in the comment section below.
