8 Pounds Of Meth Found After Deputies Called To Hotel In Sonoma County: Police
Two guests at the hotel were charged, police said.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Two men were charged after police were called to a Sonoma County hotel and found eight pounds of methamphetamine, authorities said.
Sheriff’s deputies responded Thursday to a report from the staff of a hotel north of Santa Rosa about two men who had overstayed their checkout time, according to police.
The deputies made contact with Carlos Valdivia Muro, 37, of Windsor, and Andrew Ramirez, 36, of Fresno, and discovered “a significant quantity of methamphetamine” and a gun in the room, police said.

A search of the room and Muro’s vehicle and home revealed a total of about eight pounds of methamphetamine and another firearm, according to police.
Both men were booked into Sonoma County jail on charges of possessing methamphetamine for sale, possessing a loaded gun while in possession of methamphetamine, possession of guns and ammunition by prohibited people, hiding narcotics and conspiracy, police said. Ramirez was on felony probation out of Fresno County and was also charged with violating probation, according to police, who said bails for Muro and Ramirez were set at $30,000 each.
