Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Belongs to Sonoma and Napa Counties (patch.com) — Wine lovers in Healdsburg have special reason to celebrate as two local wines landed in the top five of Wine Spectator’s prestigious 2025 Top 100 list. A Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley red and a Williams Selyem Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley followed closely behind a Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, underscoring Sonoma and Napa counties’ dominance among more than 10,000 wines reviewed worldwide.

2. Welcome night at the Community Pavilion (healdsburgtribune.com) — Healdsburg residents just got their first look inside the new Foley Family Community Pavilion, funded largely by the Foley family and dedicated as a future home for the Healdsburg Farmers’ Market. Local farmers, market leaders, and city officials celebrated the space and a new public art wine tank mural that ties Healdsburg’s agricultural history to this modern community hub.

3. Tile Heritage Foundation Adds Four New Board Members (floordaily.net) — Healdsburg-based Tile Heritage Foundation has expanded its leadership team by inviting four prominent tile industry figures to join its board. The new members bring deep experience from national tile associations, masonry organizations, and academia, strengthening the foundation’s influence and connections across the tile and stone world while keeping its roots in Healdsburg.

4. Providence announces March closure date for Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital pediatric unit (pressdemocrat.com) — Healdsburg residents who rely on Providence hospitals should know Santa Rosa Memorial will close its inpatient pediatric unit on March 27, 2026, shifting the space to adult care. Local pediatricians and health advisors warn this could force hundreds of mostly low‑income children to seek nonemergency hospital stays outside Sonoma County and are urging Providence to work with local experts on a mitigation plan.

5. North Bay officials, commuters react to Caltrans plan to reduce carpool lane hours on Highway 101 in Sonoma, Marin counties (pressdemocrat.com) — If you commute from Healdsburg or elsewhere in Sonoma County, Caltrans is preparing to roll back the recently expanded carpool lane hours on Highway 101 between Marin and Windsor after strong pushback. Healdsburg Councilmember Ariel Kelley and other North Bay officials say the change better reflects post-pandemic commute patterns, though drivers must endure the current schedule until at least February.
