Christmas Tree Suspects Land On Santa Cop's Naughty List: Watch
Two people suspected of stealing dozens of Christmas trees and wreaths in American Canyon were arrested on Thursday by Santa-clad police.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Police arrested two people suspected of stealing dozens of Christmas trees and two crates of wreaths in American Canyon.
Safeway reported the theft of 24 Christmas trees and two crates of wreaths, valued at just under $2,400, taken from the front of the store. Surveillance footage from Nov. 27 showed an empty pickup truck backing up to the store and being loaded with the stolen items, according to police.
The two suspects were handcuffed and led to a patrol car by American Canyon police dressed in a Santa Claus suit.

Officers later identified the suspects as Vallejo residents Kayla Daniels, 29, and Joshua Gonzales, 39.
When American Canyon police searched the suspects' Vallejo residence on Thursday, they found trees and wreaths suspected to be from Safeway.

Daniels and Gonzales were charged with grand theft and conspiracy to commit a crime.
The Christmas trees were returned to Safeway.
