Crown Fire Contained In Fountaingrove

The Santa Rosa Fire Department said the vegetation fire threatened no structures.

SANTA ROSA, CA — The Santa Rosa Fire Department was on the scene of a 1.5-acre vegetation fire Wednesday in Fountaingrove.

The blaze, dubbed the Crown Fire, was burning near Crown Hill Drive and Parkerhill Road. It was not threatening structures, and there were no evacuations, the Santa Rosa Fire Department said in an email sent at 5:26 p.m.Wednesday.

The fire department said firefighters were dispatched at 4:55 p.m. and brought the blaze under control by 5:15 p.m.

Cal Fire, Sonoma County Sheriff's helicopter Henry 1 and Sonoma County Fire District were helping Santa Rosa FD fight the fire.

Another fire burning Wednesday in Sonoma County was the Gulch Fire east of Petaluma.
