• Man Wanted For Felony Arrested For Suspected Rock-Throwing On Healdsburg Avenue: Police (patch.com) — Healdsburg residents saw a tense scene on Healdsburg Avenue when police arrested a man accused of throwing rocks and debris at passing cars from a bus stop and threatening a woman with a glass bottle. Officers say the suspect, a 29-year-old Santa Rosa resident wanted on a felony warrant out of San Francisco, was taken into custody after allegedly berating officers and leaving shattered glass in the roadway.

• SMART board approves deal tied to stalled Santa Rosa rail crossing, ending decadelong impasse with city (pressdemocrat.com) — A regional rail deal just approved by SMART clears a decade-long logjam over a key Santa Rosa crossing and helps set the stage for extending passenger service north from Windsor to Healdsburg. Healdsburg Council member Ariel Kelley backed the compromise, saying delays have forced cyclists and pedestrians onto unsafe detours while the community waits for safer, more direct connections.
