Earthquake Strikes NorCal Saturday, Did You Feel It?

The temblor struck Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey says.

HAYFORK, CA — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.6 struck in southern Trinity County, about 17 miles west of Hayfork, at 4:21 p.m. Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake was measured at a depth of 3.9 miles.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, people typically report feeling earthquakes larger than about magnitude 2.5.
