HEALDSBURG, CA — Local nonprofit Farm to Pantry has a new program called Farms to Snack which provides Healdsburg Elementary School students with nutrition education and food activities centered around seasonal, locally-grown produce.

Kelly Conrad submitted this photo above taken by John Stewart that shows Food Network celebrity chef Duskie Estes showing students how to juice lemons for the day's dish: waffles and lemon curd.

Estes, a Healdsburg resident, is a star on the HGTV screen and shines even brighter in her home community where she fights hunger and food waste as the executive director of Farm to Pantry.
