SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Nurses from Kaiser Permanente facilities protested cuts in service and staff today in Santa Rosa, arguing the moves have a significant impact on patient care.
The labor protest zeroed in on lay-offs in San Rafael and the suspension of some gender-affirming care services for youth patients.
The registered nurses held the protest outside of the Flamingo Resort and Spa in Santa Rosa, where Maria Ansari, CEO and executive director of the Permanente Medical Group overseeing northern California operations, is scheduled to speak.
