Man Charged In Connection With 10 Arson Fires In Sonoma County

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a transient man suspected of starting 10 separate fires including a fire on Thursday in Monte Rio on the Bohemian Highway.

Jack Stanley Seprish, 43, was detained Thursday after witnesses said they spotted him in the area of both the Monte Rio fire and another one that had been set nearby.

Authorities located Seprish and arrested him on suspicion of arson but also on suspicion of burglary to a nearby house.

After an investigation, Seprish was charged with 10 counts of arson to forest land for 10 separate fires he is allegedly linked to. He was arraigned Tuesday.

Seprish remains in custody and his bail has been set at $920,000.
