Pearl Pinson went missing Thursday morning in the area of Home Acres and Taylor Ave of Vallejo, at the I-780 pedestrian over-crossing, after she was reportedly seen stained with blood as she was dragged by the suspect in the case, 19-year old Fernando Castro.
A witness reported seeing a Hispanic man with a gun allegedly pulling a white female, who was bleeding and yelling for help, on the over-crossing, according to Castillo.
The witness claimed he heard a gunshot while running for help. Deputies found blood on the ground, Castillo said.
Castro was later killed in a gun battle with sheriff's deputies in Solvang.
Investigators say they are continuing to follow up on leads in the case.
