Pedestrian Killed After Struck In A Two-Car Crash: Windsor Police

The impact of the crash pushed two vehicles into the roadway, where one of them struck a pedestrian, according to Windsor Police Service.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — Windsor police are investigating a fatal collision involving two vehicles and a pedestrian.

One vehicle struck a pedestrian at about 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Hanna Street East and Windsor Avenue, according to the Windsor Police Service.

Police said it appears that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Hanna Street East drove through a stop sign and collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on Windsor Ave.

The force of the impact pushed both vehicles toward the northeast corner of the intersection, where one of them struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk, police said.

The pedestrian, a 58-year-old man, was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.

The intersection remained closed while the Windsor Police Service Traffic Reconstruction Unit investigated.
