Healdsburg Election Results For City Council Race, Local Measures

HEALDSBURG, CA — The polls closed at 8 p.m. here in Healdsburg, with voters choosing three city council members and deciding on Measure L and Measure M. In addition, there were countywide and California races, along with seven statewide propositions on the ballot.

There were 304,017 registered voters in Sonoma County as of Oct. 24, with 56.80 percent of them registered as Democrats, 18.76 percent choosing no party preference, and 17.34 percent registered as Republicans.

In the race for two full-term Healdsburg City Council members, Evelyn Mitchell and Chris Herrod were leading with 35 percent (1,408 votes) and 34 percent (1,360 votes), respectively, while Susan Graf had 21 percent (845 votes) and Linda Cade had 9 percent (369 votes), according to unofficial Election Night results released at 9:44 p.m. by the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters.

In the race for one short-term Healdsburg City Council member, it was a close one. Ronald Edwards had 46.08 percent (1,011 votes) and Brigette Mansell had 44.76 percent (982 votes), while Matias Lopez Jr. had 9.16 percent (201 votes), the early results showed.

Measure L, which amends Healdsburg’s transient occupancy tax, appeared to be passing with 73.63 percent Yes votes and 26.37 percent No votes.

Measure M, Healdsburg’s cannabis business tax, also appeared to be passing with 72.76 percent Yes votes and 27.24 percent No votes.

In the race for Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools, Amie Carter appeared to be leading with 73.12 percent of votes( 52,308 votes) compared to 26.88 percent of votes (19,225 votes) garnered by Brad Coscarelli.
