Shelter-In-Place Order Issued During The Search For An Armed Suspect: SCSO

Sonoma County Sheriff's Office issued shelter-in-place order during the search for a man suspected of being armed and dangerous: SCSO.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office issued a shelter-in-place order Wednesday afternoon for residents on Vinecrest Road in Windsor.

Authorities said they were looking for a 43 year-old man, wearing a black jacket, blue tank top, blue jeans, and white shoes. His vehicle was left on Vinecrest Road.

They told residents in the area to check their cameras, stay inside and lock all their doors and windows. "If you see the suspect, he’s considered armed and dangerous, do not approach. Call 911 immediately."

Deputies said a suspect had been taken into custody and the order was lifted about 4:15 p.m.
