Woman Killed In Crash Near Healdsburg ID'd By Sonoma County Sheriff's Office
The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman who died in a crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Healdsburg early Saturday morning.

HEALDSBURG, CA -- The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has identified a woman who died in a crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Healdsburg early Saturday morning as Amber Nicole Arias-Garfias, 29, of Rohnert Park.
Arias-Garfias was a passenger in a 2005 Nissan driven by Jennifer Candau, 43, of Rio Nido, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Candau was driving an estimated 60 mph in the No. 2 southbound lane of Highway 101 south of Lytton Springs Road around 4:50 a.m. on May 20. The car drifted to the right shoulder, struck a tree and went down an embankment, CHP officials said.

The impact with the tree caused major damage to the right front passenger compartment, causing fatal injuries to Arias-Garfias, CHP officials said.
Candau left the scene but was later located, according to the CHP and the sheriff's office. She was booked into Sonoma County Jail and was released later Saturday.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be factors in the crash, according to the CHP.
