E-Biker Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car On PCH In Hermosa Beach

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s with serious injuries, police said.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA — An e-biker was seriously injured after being hit by a driver on Pacific Coast Highway Monday night in Hermosa Beach, police say.

Police got a call about a traffic collision near the 1800 block of PCH at about 7 p.m., the Hermosa Beach Police Department said.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 50s with serious injuries, and he was taken to a hospital, police said.

Through an investigation, police determined a driver was “traveling north on PCH and swerved into the center turn lane to avoid colliding with stopped traffic,” according to police.

As the driver swerved, he hit a man on an e-bike, police said.

“Officers and traffic investigators are currently investigating this collision, and PCH will be shut down during the investigation,” police said.
