HOLLYWOOD, CA โ€” The Hollywood Pantages will require ticket holders to be vaccinated against the coronavirus to attend a show, the theater's operator, Broadway in Hollywood, announced Friday. The policy will be in effect through at least October 10, and will be re-assesed on an ongoing basis, Broadway in Hollywood said.

Guests under age 12, those who need a reasonable accommodation for medical reasons or those who are unvaccinated due to a "sincerely held religious belief" must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to entering the theatre. Children under 5 will not be admitted to the theatre, Broadway in Hollywood said.

Masks will also be required for all ticket holders, the company said. Masks must be worn at all times except while actively eating or drinking in designated areas.

The policy is slightly stricter than what other Hollywood businesses have implemented in recent months. The Hollywood Bowl, encourages, but does not require, guests to be vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated are asked to show a negative coronavirus test within 72 hours of the concert.

L'Antica da Michele Pizzeria similarly requires guests to show a negative coronavirus test, or submit to a rapid coronavirus test on-site, to enter their new outdoor patio. Both L'Antica and the Hollywood Bowl are outdoor venues, which health officials say limit the transmission of the coronavirus.
