Olympics Ticket Draw Opens Wednesday: What To Know About Southland Residents' Early Access

Here's what to know about securing tickets to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Southland residents will have first dibs on tickets for the 2028 summer Olympics when the ticket draw registration opens up on Wednesday.

Registration for Olympics tickets starts Wednesday. Following registration, ticket access will be determined through a lottery, with residents of the greater Los Angeles area invited to a special early access window, according to LA28.

Registrants will receive an email with information about specific time windows they'll be able to purchase tickets. Locals who register by March 18, and whose names are selected in the draw, will be given a ticket purchase slot from April 2-6.

Southland residents whose names are not selected in the early draw will be entered into the main lottery. Ticket sales following that lottery will occur at a to-be-announced date later this year, according to organizers.

Early access is available for those with credit card billing addresses in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino or Ventura counties.

Early access is also available for Oklahoma resident in Canadian and Cleveland counties — softball and canoe slalom will be hosted in the Oklahoma City area.

Tickets start at $28, with a range of additional options available for individuals and groups.

Hospitality packages — available on a first-come, first-served basis in early 2026 — will offer a variety of ticket-inclusive options with benefits such as guaranteed accommodation, official transportation, premium seating and more.

The 2028 Olympics will take place July 14-30, with the Paralympic Games following Aug. 15-27. Tickets for the Paralympics will go on sale in 2027.

More information about Olympics tickets, including how to register for the draw, is available on the LA28 website.
