Terry Crews Celebrates Birthday By Receiving Walk Of Fame Star

The 53-year-old actor is the newest public figure to be enshrined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

HOLLYWOOD, CA โ€” Actor Terry Crews enjoyed an especially ceremonious birthday on Friday, celebrating his 53rd birthday by receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Crews, who currently hosts "America's Got Talent," received the 2,699th star on the Walk of Fame during an in-person installation along Hollywood Boulevard.

"I'm not going to be too long because I know it's hot, but I love you," he told the crowd. "I appreciate this and let me tell you something, the best is yet to come. I am just getting started."

Crews was joined at the ceremony by "America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel, along with Tichina Arnold, who played Crews wife on the celebrated comedy "Everybody Hates Chris, which ran from 2005-2009.

โ€œTerry Crews is one talented entertainer and has delved into many aspects of the entertainment world quite successfully," producer Ana Martinez added. "He is a fan favorite and his fans will be excited to be able to visit his star on Hollywood Boulevard for many years to come!โ€

Crews was a second-team All-Mid-American Conference defensive end at Western Michigan University in 1989, drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1991 NFL draft. He played 36 games with the Rams, San Diego Chargers and Washington football team between 1991 and 1995.

Following the conclusion of his football career, Crews was a cast member of the 1999-2001 syndicated competition series "Battle Dome."

Crews made his acting debut in the 2000 Arnold Schwarzenegger-starring science fiction action film "The 6th Day," portraying an assassin working for the CEO of a cloning corporation (Tony Goldwyn).

Crews breakout role came in the 2002 comedy "Friday After Next" as a recently released gay convict. His other film credits include "The Expendables" trilogy, "White Chicks," "Deadpool 2," "Idiocracy" and "Sorry To Bother You."

Currently, the actor stars on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," portraying New York Police Department Lt. Terry Jeffords. He is set to star in the animated feature film "Rumble," which is expected to be released on February 18, 2022.
