Woman Arrested After Threatening Bus Driver in Hollywood: Police
A woman has been arrested on suspicion of threatening to shoot a bus driver on an MTA bus in Hollywood, police said.
HOLLYWOOD, CA โ A woman has been arrested on suspicion of threatening to shoot a bus driver on an MTA bus in Hollywood, authorities said Saturday.
Officers were dispatched at about 8:30 a.m. Saturday to the area of Hollywood Boulevard and North Sycamore Avenue amid reports of an armed woman aboard an MTA bus threatening to shoot the driver, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.
"Earlier this morning there was an incident on Bus Line 212 traveling westbound on Hollywood Boulevard near the corner of North Orange Drive, where a passenger threatened a bus operator, who was able to safely exit the bus," LA Metro spokesperson Mey Lyn Mitteenn said.

"Thanks to the quick response from the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspect was taken into custody shortly thereafter," Mitteenn said. "No other passengers were on board at the time of the incident. The Los Angeles Police Department is leading the investigation."
The woman was subsequently taken into custody, Eisenman said. She could not confirm if the suspect actually was armed.
